Tomatillo Guacamole

Hmumm.... what is a quick and easy dip, dinner companion, side dish, but is still cool and refreshing?  Oh, dang, we need to add healthy.  What what what... Let's try guac.  Well, not just guac, gac and pico.  What about ONE dish guac-and-pico had a baby?  Winner!

This is pretty easy peasy lemon squee- Hey!  Let's sub a lemon for the lime.  A) we can because we want; B) lemon peasy needs lemon; and 3) I don't have fresh limes
Here's what I grabbed to make this messy, yummy, one-debauched-dish side:

1 lemon
2 Roma tomatoes
3 ripe avocados
4 medium-sized tomatillos
1 medium onion
Pepper flakes
Salt and pepper

Assembly required:
1 - Cut, dice, smash (however you want) the avocados and place in a medium bowl.  I decide on the bowl size by heaping all of my ingredients in the bowl.  If they heap over the top without toppling like that dastardly meatball on top of spaghetti, then you have room to mix (usually).
2 - Juice the lemon over the avocado and mix gently. This will help season and prevent browning.
3 - Finely dice the onion and add to the mix.
4 - Chop the tomatoes and tomatillos then add to the bowl.
5 - Mix well and season to taste with pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.  (Remember the flavors will develop in the refrigerator, and you can add more seasoning.  You can't take it away.)

Chill at least 45 minutes.  Enjoy!
