Preheat your oven(s) to 350 |
Cowboy Cookie Jar Mix (recipe to follow) |
Scoop out by tablespoons, I use a cookie scooper. You can get about three dozen scoops. |
Set timer for 11 - 15 minutes depending on your oven temperature and how done you want your cookies |
Keep them evenly spaced and not crowded so you get good heat flow and don't burn or undercook them |
Try to let them cool before eating :) |
Serve them up or freeze them for later. This one has something to offer for almost everyone between the chocolate chips, peanut butter M&M's and the oatmeal. I dropped mine off for the deputies to enjoy.

RECIPE:
Take a one quart jar and fill with the following ingredients, packing them as tightly as possible.
1 1/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon each of baking soda and baking powder
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/3 cup oats
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup candy coated chocolate
(optional - 1/2 cup toasted chopped nuts ~ I didn't have room and used peanut butter candies for the nutty flavor)
Place the lid on tightly, decorate with a ribbon or bow or colorful label. The only ingredients to add later are 1/2 cup softened butter, 2 egss and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Mix everything together and bake at 350 for 11 - 15 minutes.
Those look yummy!!!!
